Simple Collage with Butterfly Basics

I’ve always enjoyed the artsy feel of collage. It’s a great way to tell a story with images, and convey emotion. I often combine images from many stamp sets on one card, but with the Butterfly Basics set there really was no need to look beyond the main set. It has great images and lovely sentiments in a variety of fonts. In fact when I went to write this post I had to go to other stamp sets to find the images that I had pilfered from this one to use on cards featuring other sets! (Shame on me for not putting the stamps back in the right case when I was done…I’m getting better at that! )

Try coloring with an abstract stamp….
Add interest to the base layer with tone-on-tone stamping.
The finished card relies on two main colors and a black ink for the sentiment.
